TWO URGENT MEDICAL APPEALS FOR ASSISTANCE FROM INDIA

We have received these two critical urgent mental health appeals. 

Kaizeen Postvala (34) is currently undergoing treatment for chronic Schizophrenia with clinically subnormal intellectual functioning. Kaizeen suffers from active hallucinations, severe impairment in managing daily activities, depression, insomnia, loss of appetite and significant undernourishment. Kaizeen’ father abandoned her and her mother when Kaizeen was 10 years old. Since then, they have resided with her maternal grandparents at their home in Pune, India. They do not have any source of income whatsoever. Her treatment and therapy cost at Samyak Rehabilitation Centre are Rs. 50,000 to 55,000(USD 611) per month. The family is finding it extremely difficult to sustain this financial burden and seeking our help..

Zenobia Paymaster (46) is a special child, who has lost both her parents, father in 2005 and mother in 2003. She is diagnosed with Schizophrenia since December 2023 and is lodged at Wisdom Matters facility, who cater to patients with mental illness at Pune, India. The monthly ongoing cost is Rs. 50,000 to 60,000 (USD 667) per month for the treatment which has been paid by the family so far. They have incurred a huge expense of Rs. $4,00,000 (USD 4,445) and are now finding it very difficult to continue further. The family is requesting for whatever help possible.

Considering both cases of young age, chronic mental illness and lifelong need for treatment with significant recurring cost, we request your maximum possible support. Please donate generously to WZO to assist Kaizeen and Zenobia with their medical costs.
